Cheshire West Recycling (CWR) is a Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) owned company, established in 2019 as a socially driven organisation with a commercial head and cooperative heart.
With data driving our decisions, we provide customers with waste, recycling, and fleet maintenance services that are safe, responsible, trustworthy, and innovative. Aligning with the core values of our award-winning organisation.
Our co-operative principles embrace a collaborative, socially driven approach to minimising the impact of waste upon our environment. We demand the highest safety standards within our operations, protecting the health and wellbeing of our dedicated and valued workforce and the residents within our community.
We employ over 260 people from the community we serve, providing over 440,000 refuse, recycling, food and garden waste collections per week with 70 frontline vehicles powered by low-carbon, blended Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO).
Our Fleet Services department provides cost-effective and efficient vehicle maintenance and servicing for our own fleet and that of our shareholder, the Council. As an arm's length organisation, we offer a unique level of technical expertise to our shareholders, the community, and fellow Council-owned companies.
