We’re proud to announce that CWR has been shortlisted in the Health & Safety category at Letsrecycle.com's Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management 2025. The nomination recognises our “Rolling Away from Risk” initiative, which is helping to set new standards for safety in waste collection.
Challenging the conventional approach within the industry, the initiative introduced a new code of practice following a successful pilot. As part of this, all drivers are now required to remain in their vehicles - whether moving or stationary - throughout the collection process. This significantly reduces the risks associated with unmanned, idling vehicles and ensures a safer, more efficient service for both our teams and the communities we serve.
At CWR, safety is a collective commitment. This nomination reflects our ongoing efforts to embed a proactive safety culture across every level of our operations. Zero Harm isn’t just an ambition, it’s a core value that shapes the way we work every day.
