Cheshire West Recycling has announced the appointment of Mr Jody Sherratt as its Managing Director. Jody succeeds Andy Edwards who will step down from the role in March.

Jody has played an integral role in CWR’s operations since its formation in 2019 and has held the role of Operations Director since 2023, overseeing service delivery, operational performance and innovation across the organisation.

Jody brings extensive sector experience and a strong track record of leadership within the waste services industry. Having been closely involved in shaping CWR’s development since its inception, he offers detailed organisational knowledge, commercial acumen and strategic oversight that will support the company’s continued strong performance and governance.

As a wholly owned company of Cheshire West and Chester Council, CWR plays an important role in supporting the borough’s wider environmental and service objectives through the Council’s Borough Plan, and Jody’s strong leadership will be central to fulfilling these responsibilities.

Cheshire West Recycling looks forward to continuing to work with Jody in his new capacity as Managing Director. Under his leadership, CWR will continue to grow, evolve and deliver high-quality services for its Shareholder and the borough.
