Over the last few months, a number of major construction projects have been underway.
Construction works have now been completed at our Leslie Road transfer site. As part of these changes our colleagues from the Council’s Environmental Services operation are now fully utilising Leslie Road to transfer and process their litter bin waste, fly tipped waste and street sweepings.
Additionally, as part of this move, the Council’s Integrated Transport team, who run a number of community busses, have relocated from Phoenix House to the top floor of the Leslie Road building.
The next stage of our construction programme moves to Canalside Operational Hub with plans to redevelop the yard buildings, including enhanced sorting and the new workshop. It is expected that work will start on the buildings over the next few months.
