Supporting households every week
Our kerbside collection service supports more than 170,000 households across the borough, delivering recycling, refuse, food and garden waste collections every week. With over 99.9% of collections completed right first time, we deliver a reliable, high-performing service residents can trust, with crews operating across the borough every day to keep services running smoothly.
With around 24 million collections carried out each year — and over 440,000 each week — we use data and insight to continuously refine our services, improving performance, increasing recycling rates and reducing environmental impact across the borough.
Our Impact
Supporting residents to dispose responsibly
CWR manages the borough’s seven Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs), providing residents with accessible, well-managed sites to recycle more and dispose of a wide range of household waste safely and responsibly.
With around 740,000 visits each year, our sites play a key role in increasing recycling, supporting reuse and reducing waste. Our teams are on hand to help residents use the sites effectively, ensuring materials are sorted correctly and that as much as possible is recovered and recycled.
